London-based Tay Salem is one of the rare R&B artists able to make a non-repetitive R&B sound. We first posted about him because of his earlier single, "Threads", and today, he's back with an EP titled Night Mill that provides an ethereal, off-kilter feel that serves as a stellar follow-up. Although we do enjoy the two previously released tracks, "Threads" and "Iron", the new standout effort here seems to be "Palms". The emotional, falsetto-filled vocals on it are accompanied with equally intricate, yet powerful production, and they mesh to churn out an R&B banger with a punch packed. Another highlight is the last track on the project, "Recreate", which provides slightly altered vocals and an overall sultry vibe.
