Tay Iwar — Zion Wolf (Jai Paul Cover)

Tay Iwar

Zion Wolf (Jai Paul Cover)

If we had it our way, we'd have every single country's up-and-coming artists send us music straight to our inboxes. There's a never-ending pool of undiscovered talent worldwide, and almost daily, we're coming across new names that need to be hoisted up. Tay Iwar is one such individual who's appeared with some solid sounds behind him, and, being from Nigeria (in other words, not a country we regularly find new music from), he's some extra appeal behind them all. Introducing one's musical presence with a cover of Jai Paul is no bad idea at all, and as we find here, not only is Tay's interpretation on point, but so are his own vocals as well. Yes, this is a cover we're talking about, so they should be somewhat similar, but the glaring fact of the matter is that, while listening to it, you don't get the sense that he's biting artistically or stretching his authenticity too far at all. For that, we applaud Tay immensely, and we hope that he's more music to come. [via Crack in the Road]
