Talib is known for being a very talented emcee so needless to say whenever the guy drops a new album, hip-hop heads everywhere make a point to listen and support. Gutter Rainbows is his newest solo endeavour since 2007's Eardrum. This album is also his first away from Warner Bros and his first on his new imprint Talibra The production on Gutter Rainbows comes assisted by M-Phazes, Khrysis, S1 and Ski Beatz. With an emcee like Talib it is never a question of the lyrical ability that he brings consistently. Its the production that will be a determining factor in giving the material from this album replay value. With a producer list like that you can't go wrong. The group of producers stated above are all a good fit with each other and they do give Talib a level playing field between the beats and rhymes. Gutter Rainbows is a impressive album from Mr. Kweli and should stand the test time by sticking around on your playlist.
