TĀLĀ utilizes director Kate Moross to take to the desert for the filming of her latest video for "Alchemy", and rather majestic and color-packed visuals result. We applauded the latest addition to the artist's gleaming arsenal a few weeks ago with its synth-popping beat and on-point vocals, and now we've similar praise to give to the new, supplementary art. The landscape-centric video of TĀLĀ's features only a few quick glimpses of the artist, with her cameo role taking a backseat to the contours and sights of the Moroccan desert. The visuals are color-graded to a crisp, giving way to hues that lay outside the normal brown and white that we would expect to see in the desert, and they even including more vivid colors yet when TĀLĀ does appear. The pace of the video parallels that of the accompanying audio, with cuts and shot changes that coincide precisely with the flashy tempo of the original track. In the end, all the aforementioned elements make for a video that is simply done right, especially while maintaining a relatively low budget. TĀLĀ proves more and more to be the complete package with these artistic offerings of hers, and now until she releases her next masterful project, we've an eccentric visual to hold us over.
