I've been finding that good trip-hop has been harder and harder to find these days. Maybe it is indeed a rarer commodity than it used to be or maybe it just doesn't show up in the places that I'm looking, but either way, when I stumble upon a piece of it, I'm pretty stoked. Tab & Anitek's ToyNBee is exactly the kind of gem that I remember enjoying on a much more regular basis maybe ten years ago. It has that chilled out dark jazzy hip hop sound that is one of the few sounds developed in recent history that I think will end up standing the test of time. Take a listen.
