Well, despite what we're reading on the SoundCloud description of this song, we don't think that it can be considered anything close to comedy at all. It started out that way, apparently, but the smooth and minimal instrumental, fascinating vocal contributions by both Ta-ku and Wafia, and coalescence of them create something pretty powerful and goosebump-inducing. It's a soft listen through and through—an "emotional" and "stripped-back" version of Estelle's "American Boy", as Ta-ku says—and that's where it derives its energy and utter appeal from. We really don't see efforts as delicate as this too often, but perhaps that'll change a bit after this sees the inevitable success it's due. If anything, perhaps it'll inspire these two to work together some more. We'd all love that a lot.
