SZA's debut album, CTRL, is a documentation of four years' worth of bad dudes, messy breakups, and personal growth as well. Luckily for us, the trust issues developed during the dark time(s) in SZA's life have resulted in about fourteen masterful R&B tracks. With CTRL, we have SZA at her most straightforward she's been on a record, and that is as apparent on singles such as "Love Galore" and "Broken Clocks" as it is on the new cuts like "Supermodel" and "Garden". The best art usually comes from artists who are unafraid to look within themselves and write what they see, warts and all, and that's what SZA offers with her first full album.
