With Sylvan Esso you think you're going to get some kind of Fiona Apple folk singer/songwriter type of thing when you first hear "Hey Mami", but as you will find out when you dive into their music, this is definitely not the case. What may start out as a perceived to be a 'normal' folky position, their sound quickly transforms into electronic elements, leaving you surprised as satisfied at the same time. With "Hey Mami" & "Play It Right" being the debut singles from this North Carolina based duo, it's easy to see that these two have a huge upside.
