We've been posting Big Wild's material for some time, but it wasn't until recently that we saw his "American Bass Music" caption on SoundCloud. It's a simple observation, admittedly, and it may appear irrelevant to those caring about his sound and nothing, but for those eager to peek inside the individual's creative mind, that description does wonders. The curious, high-spirited, and slick-hitting sounds he continuously puts out reflect his Bostonian roots, and as we've all been made aware of over the past year, the city's one of the strongest spirits anywhere. This realization as a whole (about Big Wild and his art) paints a broader, brighter picture of his overall vision regarding his craft, and it's had its way enhancing each and every track we've heard from him, including his incredible release today. Within the fresh endeavor, Big Wild has decided to take Sylvan Esso's "Hey Mami" out on an electronic date, doing away with the strict indie-pop sounds on it, and putting some intimate synths (among other things) in its place. There's some incredibly well-conceived whistling and sweet-talking bass to go along with the samples scattered throughout, ensuring the effort's status as a successful one. This should come as no surprise to anyone, though, since Big Wild has yet to disappoint with any of his endeavors thus far. It's a sparkling piece of sonic spunk, the remix is, and if you've been unfamiliar with the man behind it all until now, consider yourself blessed with this as your introduction.
