It began with a trumpet. Californian Nick Espalin spent his youth playing the brass instrument, then moved onto the drums before satiating his musical curiosity writing songs on the piano. And, despite having all of the makings of fledgling one-man band, Nick opted to rope in some others to help record a short EP from which we are featuring the standout track "Boredom". On the band's Facebook page, Nick suggests "listening with a hot cup of tea" which is actually quite apt advice given the mood of the release. Whether you are having a lazy day at home, or just in need of a little pick-me-up to get through the working afternoon, put the kettle on, sit back, and get lost in this laid-back indie gem.
