Theia Mania

The mediative, incisive vocals of Sundays on "Forces" is what particularly lured us in to the singer's world about one year ago, and now, she portrays her ever-inflating dexterity in both the vocal and production departments on latest piece, “Theia Mania”. The title simply refers to a condition known as “Divine Madness”, derived from Plato’s dialogue, and it’s rather fitting for the piece itself, as the Vancouver-based act imparts a ton of sentiments through the fervent, wistful lyricism within. Seraphic synths and echoing drums ignite “Theia Mania”—setting a flavorful stage for Sundays to dive in—and she certainly does, voicing meaningful, ruminative thoughts with a slightly mystifying undertone. What also bolsters the Canadian’s voice is the airy, shadowed plucks embedded amongst the unearthly chords, further adding to the peerless character of the piece. We're thinking Sundays' work here is going to grab your attention pretty tightly, and if that's indeed the case, keep an eye out for her new EP, Neverland, set to drop October 28th via Roshambo Records.
