We're more than familiar with how tough it is to stand out in music today, and even artists with pretty special sounds are being plagued by the emergence of others with equal appeal. Minneapolis-based su na is doing what he can to emerge from the ever-evolving electronic producer pack, however, as he's managed to knead a solid blend of dexterity and creativity on his latest EP, Surface. We've taken to three tracks from the body of work, and each of them are a testament to how far the producer has come with his sound. "Essex", in particular, is one that displays the sheer sonic astuteness he has, and fans of both electronic and R&B will certainly love the works with Dizzy Fae and Ravyn Lenae's vocal contributions in them. Surface may not launch su na up the production stratosphere just yet, but with a steady supply of quality tunes such as the ones here, we're sure he'll continue to chip away at the reputation he certainly deserves to have.
