"Waves & Sun" is the debut single from Charleston, South Carolina, boys Brady Sklar (guitar, vocals) and Maxton Stenstrom (synths, production). The pair's not being pushed by a manager, label, or even PR, and we scooped them from one of our daily digging efforts, so as far as being fresh goes, the paint is definitely still wet with these guys. "Waves & Sun" starts off very strongly, as a warm, elongated synth sets the mood whilst surf-rock-toned guitars, hand claps, and low-fi vocals stretch out into the rest of the track, giving a warm, summery feel. It's safe to say that if you've never been to Charleston, there's no doubt "Waves & Sun" is going to give you an idea of what it feels like.
