“Fly Down” is the second track multi-instrumentalist Stephen has released since hitting the reset button about month or so ago on his sonic explorations, and it’s imbued with even more impressive elements than any tracks he's released thus far. For one, it's again inclusive of his powerhouse vocals, but what really stands out is how it's nuanced by stringy synth structures and light percussive elements in its latter half. The one-man show has prioritized quality over popularity (we've learned this from his intriguing, introspective letters on his website), and, ultimately, with the work he's putting out now, he's forged himself quite a solid following and basis for a new path.
