Step Rockets released their first official single, "If You Tried", to relatively little fanfare about a year ago, and the track didn't get as much notice as it should have, if we can be honest. Then, about six months later, they released "Kisser", and it blew up in a moment's notice. The track is a great piece of stripped-down synth-pop, and it resonated well with the blog community when it was released. Fast forward to now, and they've got a new rework of the song, courtesy of RII, and it's ridiculously smooth. The sharp-edged guitar chords and crisp snare hits in the original mix have been sped up and smoothed out to go better with the rolling synths, and the finished offering is an upbeat dance track which still embodies the soul of the original. If you're a fan of Step Rockets' sound, then this track is definitely up your alley.
