There's nothing more dissatisfying then two sonic components clashing in a song, and while STELLA's dreamy vocals and her upbeat production counterparts don't usually work well together, the NYC-based artist (and daughter of legend Carlos Santana) never ceases to amaze us with her ability to arrange them jointly well. This expertise is very vivid in her new single, "New Toy", and although she hasn't taken any big steps on her sound with it, it does embody what she has been giving us in the past very well. Unfortunately, the track doesn't signify its part as a bigger release, but it should still appease demands for new material from her for now.
