Statik Selektah's new album, What Goes Around, comes out August 19th, and yesterday, he released "Alarm Clock" from it, a track featuring a heavy-hitting, smooth-spitting lineup of Ab-Soul, Jon Connor, Logic, and singer Francesca. Each of the artists deliver fantastically on the effort, without question, and they pass lyrical batons to each other almost scarily seamlessly. Of course, we've been familiar with all of the artists' skills for some time, so the occurrence is nothing too surprising, but still, it's nice to hear them throw some insightful lines out alongside each others'. Logic's last line, in particular, is an ode to the well-to-do advice strewn through the track, but, as already mentioned, Ab and Jon contribute coherent heat as well, so pay attention to all in the track.
