Starfucker's Miracle Mile seems long overdue, leading me to jump at the chance to review it. Two years and a new member later, Starfucker shines just as bright. The hour long album seems to be a derailed dip into the past, covering everything from 60s beach rock, 80s shoegaze and angsty lyrics reminiscent of the 90s. Even with all of that, Miracle Mile maintains an unmistakable Starfucker sound. Overall the album showcases a maturity not present before, and expectedly so. Frontman Joshua Hodges showcases his talent and depth, with excellent production of both music and lyricism. Dreamy vocals are dusted over ethereal synths and deep bass, a glorious marriage of dance and psych. Stand out tracks, and those in between give Miracle Mile a beautiful cohesion, making every moment listening a lovely one.
