With the majority of us music listeners having little to no patience for songs that start out slowly, taking that route is always a particularly risky one for new bands starting out. Of course, it's anyone's guess as to whether or not the acts and artists care, and even if you are one of those ADD listeners needing something fast and engaging,, we implore you to stick your head into the world of "Pyramid" for its entire seven-minute runtime, because we're confident you won't regret doing so. "Pyramid" is only the second track released from Parisian producer and vocalist STAND WISE, and if you think his seven minutes of music here with "Pyramid" is long, know that his debut, "Le Corbeau" is even longer at nine. Even with the length of it all, though, the sonic soundscapes that are prevalent throughout are anything but boring. To be sure, STAND WISE uses reverb-heavy effects on his instrumentation to engender a spacey environment, and with it, the Frenchman adds different arrangements alongside his occasional vocals throughout. With the formula, the tracks sound more like ready-to-be-visualized mental escapades than meager intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus efforts, so jump into them, and definitely keep an ear on the artist going forward.
