When SoySauce popped up about a year ago, it appeared to be almost a bit of a sarcastic project, especially since they made a song about nothing more than eating some great sushi ("Sushi Park"). Later, we learned of the talent behind their name (Royal and SoyBoy) just as they began gaining some huge attention online. Their most recent release, "Broken Record", sounds like it could be a radio hit, and now, the production duo has returned with another excellent offering, this time remixing Stalking Gia's latest track, "Born Free". As the song begins, it sounds like it could evolve into another massive electronic offering from SoySauce, but it actually takes an unexpected turn and embraces a low-key, folk-house sound. We're happy with the experimentation SoySauce has here presented, and, assuming future efforts sound as appealing as this one, we hope that they continue along this inventive sonic path.
