We first made acquaintance with St. South from the brilliance of both "Slacks" and "Regal Wash" way back in June of last year. They were each outstanding efforts, and prompted us to hold St. South in extremely high regard. Turns out, we're going to have to see her in an even greater light now, because her new single, "Get Good", is far beyond what we expected from her. Where "Slacks" & "Regal Wash" were more in the indie-folk realm of production, "Get Good" is a complete 180 from such sounds. With production from Perth-resident, Koenski, and a saxophone played by Ella Wisniewski, "Get Good" is shifted into the upbeat, electro-pop arena. We're going to love St. South over any kind of production, honestly, but with "Get Good", and that saxophone, especially, it's safe to say we're thinking there's more to St. South than some mere indie-folk. Big things are in store for the Aussie songstress, just watch.
