They say you learn something new every day, and today we learned that the Poland-based producer Soulpete is a force to be reckoned with. "Rhymes on Random" is one of two debut tracks that was released on his Bandcamp today featuring the D.C. emcee and HD-favourite, Oddisee. Their collaboration is one that sparks immediate intrigue, not only because of Oddisee's inclusion, but also because of Soulpete's impressive production chops, which are put on full display here. From the thumping drums to the sample selection, it's safe to say that if you're a fan of that Apollo Brown sound, you're going to love this guy. The good news is that "Rhymes on Random" is only just a peek into what's to come, because on May 30th, the producer will release his forthcoming album, Raw Soul, that features an all-star cast of Hezekiah, Pacewon, Blu, Smif N Wesson, and more.
