The Portland-based duo, SOS (Shadows on Stars), established themselves as a very promising upcoming act with their latest single, "Youth In Decline", which was released only a few weeks ago, and, despite the acclaim, you can definitely still label the two as "underground" if you'd like, since their numbers, in terms of social media followers and likes, are all well below five-digit totals. However, we really believe that this won't be the case for long, and after taking a listen to their newest release, "She Wants", we definitely recommend that you hop on the SOS train early if you haven't already, because we're betting it's going to be an exciting, sonically sound journey to stardom. Dark piano keys, haunting vocal loops, and a piercing call introduce their newest track, but after the short segment ends, the song really starts to come together. Randa Leigh, the lead vocalist, sings out a confident, sensual verse atop remarkable electronic-trap production from Brian Vincent, and though shadowy undertones are indeed accounted for, the heavy percussion and infection flow alongside them complement the darkness with ease. We've only heard two original efforts from SOS, but we've no doubt that they'll be appearing many more times on HD if they continue down this current path.
