The Dublin-hailing, Brooklyn-based Sorcha Richardson graces us with "4AM", a track that's gentle in tone, though unmistakably firm in its delivery of her dismissal towards her lover, perhaps most evidently so in the almost loop-like nature of the chorus—one aided by persistent grumbling synths. Sorcha's vocal on the track feels like the ultimate singer-songwriter's in tone—one that would be beautiful alongside a piano alone—but the track's electronic production brings a sonic dichotomy that brings an unexpected interest to it. We're curious to see what its release hints at in regards to more releases from the artist, but we're sure to enjoy this one until then.
