Pairing the sound of the old with the new is the Vancouver songstress Sophia Danai who gives us her debut EP, Wishing Well today. Just a few weeks ago we posted up her the lead single with Talib Kweli and now we are happy to pass you on the full-stream of the EP. When I say old I am referring to the sound of classical vocalists like lets say Norah Jones or Diana Krall. Although their music is being made today, it brings the listener into a different era and that is what Sophia does just as well here. Except with Sophia the hip-hop influence of producer Chin Injeti is added to give her music that extra amount of flavor. Wishing Well is available on itunes now. Our highlights are below.
