I was introduced to AKEDA back before I began writing on the site, and remember being so enamored with his sound that I thought I was going to be using it for purposes of rapping (please save your jokes). It's an awkardly sobering story I reminisce about every so often, but months ago, it was a reality I was readily, albeit, foolishly, pursuing. My ambitions have altered dramatically since that point, thank goodness, but it appears that the Parisian producer's allure has not, fortunately. His latest track, a remix of the impassioned Icelandic singer Soley's "Bad Dream" single, comes four months after anything else he's put out, and it seems that he's made substantial improvements to his already quality craft. He amplifies the haunting sincerity existing on the original with organized hats and spaced bass that booms in emphatic fashion, and succeeds in producing a haunting instrumental that manages to bang alongside the induced chills.
