It's been a while since beloved Seattle emcee Sol has released any new material—he's been reflecting on past worldly excursions and new ideas in the framework of a familiar environment—but today, after months and months of eager anticipation, we get our first two tastes of what the greatly creative man has to offer in 2015. "People" and "Pages" are two the two tracks he's jointly released since Eyes Open, the resulting EP from those aforementioned travels, and on both pieces he has expressed a heightened awareness of who he is, what's he's doing, and where he is in the context of all the energetic forces around him. Extrospection has been a staple characteristic of Sol's music for some time now, but we haven't quite experienced it as blatantly expressed as it is on these two new cuts. They're fantastic, and all individuals at least somewhat in tune with their thoughts and powers derived from them will enjoy greatly what's here.
