Before Macklemore blew up he had "Can't Hold Us" that allowed us to foresee his imminent rise; for Sol, it's going to be, "Jump In". Whatever you thought your favorite song of the summer was, you better scrap it, because one listen to "Jump In" and you will be picking your jaw up off the floor. From here on out your new summer playlist is going to be 17 tracks of "Jump In". Yes, thats right, just "Jump In" 17 times over — it's that good. But seriously hyperboles aside, we think "Jump In" is Sol's best song to date and we have a good feeling that you will agree with us on that once your ears touch down on this amazing record. After travelling the world for 10 months you knew Sol was going to come back with hunger, experience & different perspectives that he could channel into his music. On "Jump In", not only is Sol displaying these augmentations, but you can hear the improvements in his writing, cadences and overall delivery. With the way Sol raps, the message is crystal clear from his easy to grasp tempo, but at the same time he can turn it up at the drop of a dime and break down a few bars into a quick-flowing picasso of words. Take note of this during the second verse because this is where it takes flight. Of course this track would be not the same without the continuing skills of Nima Skeemz and Elan Wright who instead of travelling, stayed back in Seattle to further hone their craft as one of the best producing duos in hip-hop. Never heard of them? That's ok, because one listen to the beat on "Jump In" and you will understand why I am saying that.
