If you're an old visitor of the site, then you surely know that we're huge fans of Sol. We started following the Seattle-based hip-hop artist about four years ago when he released his breakthrough album, Yours Truly, and he's been steadily improving ever since. The last time we heard from him was about six months ago when he jointly released two excellent songs, "People" and "Pages", but, today, he's returning with an optimistic new single, "Ain't Gon' Stop". Sol vocally glides atop a warm, soulful instrumental produced by one of his go-to producers, Nima Skeemz, and it's filled with trumpet, trombone, piano chords, a relaxed drum kit, and a smooth bassline. Overall, the track is a reassuring, positive, and encouraging declaration of Sol's commitment to his craft, and he's made it very clear that his recent work has really been paying off.
