Strength To Survive, the fourth full-length album from Virginia-based reggae band SOJA, showcases the best of what the group has to offer. It is without a doubt their best and most cohesive album to date. The theme of the album is hard to miss, as most tracks deliver messages of positivity, building for the future, and making better life choices; in fact, almost every track poses questions that will have you thinking long after the song is over. There are not many bands in this genre with the total package: a lead singer with a distinctive voice and also an entire support cast of instrumentalists that play such an integral role in making a great song. In many cases, the keys and horn lines are just as catchy as the vocals, resulting in the kind of song that will be stuck in your head throughout the day. SOJA is one of the bands at the forefront of the current reggae scene for this very reason.
