Sofi de la Torre has been killing it low-key over the past month. She's released two tracks in that span, and both have been able to garner posts (and praise) on the site. She's now a new EP out housing both and a pair of other efforts as well, and they both really round out the collective effort in an impressive and enjoyable way. From the new tracks, we're taking most favorably to "Colorblind Cruisin", the third out of the four on the body of work. It's a swift, uniquely upbeat piece that's pop sensibilities bleeding out of it, but it's not stereotypical-sounding at all. Sofi does well to coast atop the quick instrumental backing her up, and her flow is, in fact, something to behold. There's no doubt that the impression left by this exciting singer here is a big one, and we'd be surprised a bit if it doesn't get her the recognition she so obviously deserves. Surely, Mess seems like a prelude of very great things to come. Mess is available for purchase on iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
