Sofi de la Torre has impressed us for a number of reasons, and some of them have been her straightforwardness, sonic ingenuity, and ability to be a bad woman and nice girl at the same time. As she says in an interview linked to below, she's tired of all the monotony in the genre she hails, and her mantra, "pop done right", is about as indicative of her personality both in and out of the studio as one could like. Today, Sofi has released a new track, "Flex Your Way Out", that features a similarly natured artist in blackbear, and, as we hear, the pairing sounds absolutely right. They're able to link up without stepping on each other's proverbial toes, and a smooth, smooth number is able to come about as a result. There's a sexiness attached to the effort as well, and those combination of traits really makes this one a dynamic piece that can be played a number of times for a number of different occasions to boot.
