It was kind of shocking to hear that Snakadaktal decided to call it quits yesterday. This was just after it seemed they were hitting their stride after the release debut album, Sleep In The Water. The reasoning for the disbanding was stated on their Facebook page: [do action="manual-block-quote"]"we feel that it is time to move onto different pursuits that we each individually wish to explore".[/do] Now whether that's sugarcoating something else that went wrong, we have no idea, but at this point there's no reason to speculate any further. With this sad news comes a silver lining for fans, though, as Snakadaktal has let loose a collection of unreleased demos, instrumentals, and leftover recordings on the collection of twelve songs they're calling, Treasures (2010 - 2014). If Snakadaktal was still together, this assortment of songs wouldn't have been released anytime soon, so let's take the good with the band here and move on.
