Smino from Luv 4 Rent, and the St. Louis rapper is fully in his bag here. "Curtains" drifts between R&B and jazz-rap in the way only Smino can manage without it feeling forced. The production is warm and lived-in, his melodic phrasing doing things most vocalists can't map out. Keep an ear on this one.
