Slum Village carry a heavy respect behind their name through their classic work throughout the years. And no matter the obstacle the group faces, the music always prevails. Slum Village originally started out with rappers Baatin (deceased in July 2009), T3 and J Dilla (deceased Feb 2006). It wasn't until 2002 with Trinity (Past, Present, and Future) that we saw Elzhi jump into the crew via T3. Villa Manifesto is the groups sixth and final album that is being released on E1 Records. The album serves as a reunion/memorial album that features posthumous work from J Dilla and Baatin with new verses from Elzhi, T3 and J Dilla's brother Illa J.
