Not much is known about SLK yet, but this first track of theirs is a winner. The production work has just the right amount of echo, and that voice is in a league of its own. There are a lot of ways you can doctor up vocals so they can keep up with today's ultra-polished instrumentals, but SLK has let the natural range of those windpipes do their thing, and the result is a great indie electronic original that has some R&B flavor and an organic power that only comes when you have a great singer at your disposal. This isn't your average laptop track, and with such a good foundation to work off of, SLK is looking to make some waves in the near future.
