We were introduced to Chicagoan artist SKYLR through "Devil", an intriguingly ambitious electronic-pop piece that came out eleven months ago. We hadn't heard from her on the musical front since that time, however, and we were left wondering whether the track would be all we'd hear from her. Fortunately, that's turned out not to be the case. Whereas her previous track was a far more energetic one, her new one here claims intimacy and delicateness as its central sonic themes. It's sparse and dazzling with its piano lead, and what breathy vocals we hear from the singer match greatly her soul-bearing lines. This is a piece to play when you're thinking about the most important people in your life, no doubt, and it's going to have you hoping for more from the artist absolutely soon.
