I'm always looking for reasons to foster an appreciation for artists aside from the acoustical creations they've to offer. If making music was the only thing the persons did, what reason would there be to listen to more than just a few individuals in each genre? There's a degree of differentiation that works to distinguish one creative from the next, and it's either readily apparent, or irrefutably absent. There's an identified strand of intrigue with the Charlotte producer, Sky NDGO, though, and it's not merely his magnificent craft enrapturing attention, though it certainly does warrant it. What immediately struck me about the inevitable up-and-comer was his selflessly inscribed plea urging onlookers to get to know his art, rather than himself, the artist. It's an insistence I can relate spectacularly to, and it was reason enough for me to develop an additional layer of respect for Sky NDGO. We're not to forget about the art that he's referring to, though. This post wouldn't exist without it, and it's where the majority of the appreciation ought to rest, regardless of the staggeringly authentic opinions Sky NDGO has about it. He's crafted an exotic vibe rife with luminance on the featured track, "Leave Me" that appears on his The Fall EP which can be streamed here, and the downtrodden synths and samples within provides the kind of alleviation one needs after an obnoxiously hectic afternoon or evening.
