Skott — Amelia

Skott

Amelia

The hype around new Scandinavian pop artist Skott is undeniable. Her eclectic, folk-influenced take on electro-pop sets her comfortably apart from the mass, and the millions of plays her first two songs, "Porcelain" and "Wolf", have accumulated prove her unique appeal. Now, Skott has stolen our attention once again with a brand-new track, "Amelia", which Annie Mac has just debuted on BBC Radio 1. Though the track opens with folkish plucked strings, it later takes on a larger sound with the inclusion of echoed percussion, gritty synths, and a distorted choir. Regardless of the instrumentation, Skott's vocals alone are enough to get us on board with her work again, so be sure to check this one (it's sure to get quite a bit of attention), and watch out for more works of her ahead.
