Arriving last year with a string of acoustic-led demos, Bay Area band sjowgren emerged with potential, but it wasn't until months later when they dropped their first official song, "seventeen", when they rocketed into the limelight. Since its release in June, it's racked up 1.4 million plays on SoundCloud and 13 million on Spotify, so, to say it's been a successful release would be an understatement. The band is back today after a lengthy hiatus, and, although it looks like they're still free agents, they've another major label, radio smash-worthy track in "now & then", a song that is absolutely air-tight. The effort has that timeless, iconic feel to it, and,, as a follow up to their last material, sjowgren definitely continues to be a band on the rise.
