There's something very attractive about quirky indie-pop, and though we could point to such sonic elements as reverb-soaked and high-pitched vocals and off-kilter melodies as reasons why, we think it's better to just listen to the sound than try to understand it. Anyway, it's what brought us to Seattle's SISTERS, a duo that nails every aspect of being unique with their own indie-pop sound, and on their debut EP, Diamonds of Gold, they've showcased everything they have to offer. SISTERS manage not only to be unique with their material, but catchy as well, and on highlight tracks "Back 2 U" and "Buzzard", we find the pair achieving a highly enticing, unusual, and radio-ready sound. That's rare, and you're going to want to check out their efforts to capitalize on the particular infrequency. Start with our favorite two tracks from EP below, and take a listen to the others on their Bandcamp where you can also buy the body of work.
