Beginning with a Presley-esque rock beat, “Hold Tight” by Sinkane showcases a modern interpretation of early-age rock. Varying layers of vocals range from drawn-out to high-pitched in order to strongly emphaize the spoken words, and the track takes a peek into the world of funk, too, with a low-end harmonica tones that livens the traditional rock background. The aforementioned vocals are well-done, but the highlight of the work here is everything behind them; the electro-rock combination comes together and composites perfectly. The next album by Sinkane, Mean Love, is set to be released on September 2nd, and though this is the only preview we have been graced with hearing thus far, we yearn for more of Sinkane’s first-rate modernized interpretations of last century's rock and roll.
