Let It Go

Turn the pace down a bit today and sink your psyche into the brand new mountain-moving single, "Let It Go", from the Australian duo Sietta who are following up 2011's, The Seventh Passenger, with their yet-to-be-titled sophomore effort that's dropping in October. When you think of 'anthemic' songs you might think of huge guitars, massive vocals or even soaring electronic music. With "Let It Go" it's anthemic in another way and that way we say is a bit more organic. Like the emotion felt from a simple euphoric thought, "Let It Go", captures your imagination and takes you to incredible places. From the roaring soul of Caiti Baker's vocals to the all-encompassing visceral instrumentation of James Mangohig, don't be surprised if you envision yourself on a mountain cliff looking out over a vast valley whilst this song explodes into your subconscious. A couple weeks ago we saw a picture of Sietta in the studio with Count Bounce (!). For those of you who don't know, Count Bounce is one the best producers in the world. Anytime you see Count Bounce's name on an album, it raises up the album a couple notches in anticipation (to say the least). So when October rolls around, you best be excited for Sietta's sophomore album. Stream "Let It Go" below and look for it to be released via itunes on August 16th.
