If you couldn't tell from the various cuts Portland-based Shy Girls has put out (and we've posted), know that we are very big fans. There aren't many artists from the city making noteworthy sounds, at least, to our knowledge, but he is definitely an exception. Gearing up for the release of his new album, Salt, he's blessing us with a brand-new track today in "Trivial Motion", and, sensual and emotional, the it's the gold standard of all things R&B. All of the components within the track work well together, and his falsetto-laden vocals are truly able to shine. With this new release, we're excited more than ever to check out the full album when released January 20, and, until then, this track should be enough to appease our demands of his sound (we think).
