Shura has been consistently great since her first single, "Touch", came out about six months ago, and the support she's received from blogs and other big names has not only been overwhelming, but also well-deserved. Her latest single, "Just Once", is, too, one of the smoothest pieces of pop music we've heard in a while, and her understated approach to this island-infused music we've come to love here is absolutely stunning. With such a great single to work off, then, it should perhaps come as no surprise that HONNE was able to crush their remix of the single, and if you're at all a fan of house or electronic music, then this is pretty much a shoe-in for your favorite track of the week. All of that simple goodness which permeated the original is still present and accounted for, but now instead of smooth basslines, the backbone of the track features a much more energetic beat with muted synth notes that popping up here and there to emphasize the fact that you're listening to a dance-floor filler of the first order. HONNE only has a couple of their own songs out at the moment, so you might think that the pair-up on this remix wasn't going to attract a ton of attention, but these two names (HONNE and Shura) are definitely powerhouse ones in the making, and their respective styles are some of the coolest and most refined out. It's certainly not often you come across such a well-crafted dance remix as that which HONNE supplies here, but their rendition of Shura's "Just Once" kills it at pretty much every point along the song's path, and that's made it extremely easy to give it some Hillydilly love.
