Shungudzo, an LA-based transplant (she is originally from Zimbabwe), scored her first big break this year by being featured on the latest 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack. Interestingly, that track that was on it, "Come On Back", never really took off, but we think she's another potential hit-in-waiting with her latest, "Paper". It is a kind of unique, quirky pop that'll remind listeners of Santigold, M.I.A., and Little Dragon, so, definitely don't sleep on her, and be watching out for future tracks from her as well.
