SHEMPE's another fresh Australian face making bass-infused electronic, and with his latest track, "Honey", we're given an exceptional taste into what the young producer has to offer. With suspense-building synths and electronic twists to open the affair, SHEMPE makes sure that anticipation is sky-high for the drop you know is on the horizon. It's lovely that he doesn't wait too long to see it employed, and when it does get injected into the effort, you'll likely be swept up into its refreshingly downtempo nature. Of course, some of that aforementioned bass works to bolster the sonic atmosphere, but, though a bit billowing, it doesn't overwhelm the cool textures SHEMPE strings together. It's anyone's guess as to whether or not the young Aussie will be another flash-in-the-pan producer, or a longer-lasting one, but, either way, we'll be keeping his latest close.
