Shallou has had one of the most successful "quiet" campaigns in recent memory. What we mean by that is that he's had a great number of plays on his work with relatively little fanfare, and, of course, that's a shame. Joe Boston (shallou) has been making some of the dreamiest, most ethereal electronic out, and it's time electronic communities of all kinds start paying him his due. With "Begin" today, his brand-new original track, the Chicago-based producer keeps things light and with a sparkling touch, but he's also got an indie energy inserted as well. That's partly due to vocalist Wales being featured on the track, of course, but there's an underlying emotional element to it, too, that aids in its appeal. Fans of ODEZA, Jai Wolf, and the like will gobble this one up, and it's gonna be hard to not see it as a hit with fans of chill electronic overall.
