If you haven’t already noticed, we take a certain liking to chillwave-inspired pieces that incorporate delicately perforating vocals, and as specific as that sounds, there are a considerable amount of efforts out there that try and actualize that sound. Today, our itch for the vibes are fulfilled in downright ethereal fashion from Dutch-based SEVDALIZA, who’s dropped her latest sparkler entitled “SIRENS OF THE CASPIAN”. From the crafty inclusion of a La Haine quote, to eerie chirps, SEVDALIZA harnesses the vicinity provided with an elegant verse, and with an ever-echoing voice like hers, the essence of the tune is certainly mystical. Besides the Rotterdam-based artist’s vocals, the backdrop is a further talking point, as Mucky (also based in Rotterdam) adeptly tosses in bizarre samples, seeing them progress handsomely as he momentarily shifts the vocals prior to the over-decayed subs and vocal cut comprising the drop. It all fosters an incredibly ecstatic mood that ascends as the effort unwinds, so make sure to listen to the track the whole way through.
