Labeling something "trip-hop" is pretty ambiguous, but when it comes to the sounds of Scheeba, a trio from Nantes, France, they've quite the quintessential sound accommodating that declared genre. Their last-November released debut album, QUEEN OF SCHEEBA, is their best example of the sound, and from it's jazz-influenced horns, to its woozy downtempo electronic, to the silky-sweet vocals of Djéla et Yolive, the three have quite the artistic statement to share.
